Kuldeep Sah Gangola
Kuldeep Sah Gangola is an editor and post-production lead working across documentary, narrative, and branded content. Over eight years, he has edited features and series for Netflix, Amazon Prime, and PBS, with work premiering at Tribeca. He brings structure to complex material, finds the emotional spine of a story, and builds workflows that carry projects confidently from dailies through final delivery.
An Avid Certified Editor, Kuldeep’s experience spans lead editing, assistant and associate editing, archival-heavy storytelling, media management, turnovers, conform, sound, and post-production supervision. Whether shaping a scene or managing an entire editorial pipeline, his focus remains the same: protecting the creative process while keeping the work organized, collaborative, and moving forward.
He also teaches editing at the New York Film Academy, where he leads post-production education. Teaching continually sharpens his own practice—requiring him to articulate instinct, question familiar methods, and remain deeply engaged with how stories are constructed.

Editing with new AI tools, taught with the same rigor.
Kuldeep uses AI as part of the post-production toolkit — for research, transcript work, story structuring, and accelerating the unglamorous parts of an edit so more time goes to the cut itself. He brings the same approach into the classroom, helping students use these tools without losing craft.
- AI-assisted story structuring, paper edits & transcript review
- Research, archival sourcing & fact-checking support
- Workflow automation for repetitive post-production tasks
- Teaching AI-literate editing & production practices to students
- Evaluating and integrating new AI tools into existing pipelines
Custom Software, Built to Spec
Beyond using AI tools, Kuldeep builds with them — custom software for production and post-production needs that off-the-shelf tools don't cover. If a workflow is repetitive, fragile, or unique to a shoot or edit bay, it can usually be built.
Tell Kuldeep the bottleneck — on set or in the timeline — and he'll scope a tool for it.
In 2025, a conversation began around a potential partnership connecting Indian cinema with leading American institutions. The vision includes screenings, student-driven showcases, and cross-cultural dialogue between two film industries that rarely meet directly.
Kuldeep brings together the perspectives of an Indian filmmaker, editor, and educator with a decade of post-production work spanning both cultures. That experience makes him a natural bridge for shaping the partnership.
The dialogue is still developing, but its purpose is clear: to create meaningful exchange, new audiences, and lasting connections between Indian storytellers and American institutions.
